New Friends and Memories I'll Never Forget

As this years TSSUS annual conference gets ready to start, I thought I would write about some of my memories from the conference that I went to.
I had just found out that I had Turner Syndrome and I was having a tough time dealing with it. I felt out of place and like anyone who saw me would look at me and instantly know that I had Turner Syndrome (which of course is irrational). My mom found out that there was a Turner Syndrome Society of the United States conference being held that year in Atlanta, Georgia. We decided to go to it and we flew down. I was excited and nervous at the same time. To my relief, it was easier to meet people than I thought it would be. During the classes and activities, I met some great people, who I will never forget. It was very therapeutic for me to get to meet other people who were going through the same things that I was going through and it really helped to put things into perspective for me.
Some of my favorite memories are getting to tour the CNN building and playing in the Olympic Fountain, which was a nice treat to get to cool of from the heat!
If any of you out there who are reading this get to go to this years conference, I hope that you get to make memories as wonderful as I did when I went to the conference in Atlanta and I hope that you meet some amazing people that you will never forget!
